Newyellow is an artist from Taiwan who primarily works with code. Since 2021, he has been engaged with blockchain and NFT technology and has been working on a series of crypto art pieces. His NFT works have been exhibited in several museums in Taiwan, including MoCA Taipei and Jut Museum.
黃新是一位工程師、生成式藝術家 黃新擅長數位技術的實作，自 2014 年開始互動新媒體的探索，並於 2021 年接觸到區塊鏈和 NFT 技術，開始進行加密藝術的創作。其 NFT 作品曾在台北當代藝術館、忠泰美術館等地展出，並曾獲 2022 akaSwap 若水藝術獎首獎、2023 華碩元宇宙數位創作競賽總冠軍
Overstacked
"Wait, hang, suspended, postponed, to a place. Until one day, it collapses."
Overstacked is a generative art piece that takes inspiration from chairs that are stacked and forgotten in corners. The artwork aims to portray a psychological state by metaphorizing chairs and their collapse.
Each piece in Overstacked starts by generating a random chair and replicating it a hundred times, randomly stacking these chairs. The chairs in each piece are unique, with attributes like width, height, stick thickness, and backrest style randomly generated. When the user clicks the mouse, the chairs slowly begin to collapse, creating an emotional atmosphere.
This artwork can be seen as a generative sculpture, as it combines chairs with different shapes, spatial backgrounds, and environmental lighting to freeze a particular moment in time.
